As a Security Officer at our warehouse, which operates as a Foreign Trade Zone (FTZ), you will be critical in maintaining the security and safety of our premises, assets, and staff. Your role involves enforcing strict security measures, preventing unauthorized access, and handling potential threats with composure and efficiency. This position requires strong observational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to remain calm and composed under pressure.

• Maintain a constant presence at designated security checkpoints within the warehouse premises, monitoring activities through CCTV cameras, security systems, and regular foot patrols to identify any suspicious behavior or potential security breaches.
• Monitor and enforce regulations specific to the Foreign Trade Zone, ensuring all operations comply with relevant customs protocols.
• Implement and enforce strict access control measures by verifying the identity of all individuals entering or exiting through the designated employee entrance.
• Monitor visitor and contractor badges or access cards, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
• Act promptly and appropriately in response to security incidents, emergencies, or breaches.
• Follow established protocols to handle incidents effectively, including alerting appropriate personnel, contacting emergency services if required, and providing accurate incident reports.
• Conduct thorough inspections of personal belongings to prevent theft, smuggling, or unauthorized items from entering or leaving the premises.
• Maintain a high level of vigilance to minimize loss and damage to company assets.
• Perform routine inspections of various areas within the warehouse, including entrances, exits, storage areas, and high-value inventory locations, to ensure they are secure and free from potential security threats.
• Maintain accurate logs, incident reports, and other required documentation related to security activities, ensuring timely and comprehensive reporting of all incidents, security breaches, or suspicious activities to the appropriate authorities and management.
• Collaborate with other team members to ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
• Identify potential safety hazards or risks and take immediate action to rectify or report them to the appropriate personnel.
• Participate in security training programs to enhance your knowledge of security procedures, emergency response techniques, and safety protocols.
• Promote security awareness among warehouse staff, educating them on security measures and the importance of compliance.

• High school diploma or equivalent is mandatory
• Arizona Security Guard Card (Unarmed) is mandatory; additional security-related certifications or training is preferred.
• Proven experience working as a security guard or in a similar role, preferably in a warehouse or industrial setting.
• Strong observational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to quickly detect and respond to potential security threats.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with individuals at all levels.
• Ability to remain calm and composed in high-pressure situations and make quick, sound decisions.
• Familiarity with security equipment, such as CCTV cameras, access control systems, and alarms.
• Physical fitness and the ability to stand, walk, and perform security duties for extended periods.
• Understanding of safety regulations and the ability to identify potential hazards.
• Integrity, reliability, and a strong sense of responsibility.
• Knowledge of emergency response procedures and basic first aid is desirable.
