As an Access Control Officer at a logistics and distribution location, you will help manage entry points, verify credentials, monitor access activity, and provide outstanding customer service and communication. You will remain visible to help deter security-related incidents while supporting a welcoming, orderly environment.

** What You'll Do:*
* + Provide customer service to drivers, visitors, and personnel by carrying out site-specific access control procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.

+ Monitor entry and exit points, verify identification and authorization, issue visitor credentials, and maintain accurate access-related records.

+ Screen incoming vehicles, deliveries, and contractors in accordance with site procedures, directing authorized traffic to designated areas.

+ Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating matters according to established procedures.

+ Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, loading areas, parking locations, and the business perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.

* Minimum Requirements:

* + Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

+ Access control and badge experience is preferred.

+ Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.

+ A guard card or license is preferred.

+ Customer service experience is preferred.

+ Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

+ Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

+ Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

+ Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
