As a Security Officer - Badge Issuing in Goodyear, AZ
, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a busy logistics and distribution location, you will help manage entry points, verify badges and credentials, monitor access activity, and provide welcoming customer service to employees and visitors. Using computers or tablets, you will document security-related information, communicate clearly, and help maintain an orderly environment.

Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to drivers, visitors, contractors, and employees while carrying out site-specific access-control procedures and emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and authorization, and maintain visitor, contractor, and vehicle access records in accordance with site policies.
• Screen vehicles and personnel as directed, help control access to shipping yards, docks, and restricted operational areas, and report access discrepancies.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns through established communication channels.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned access points, business areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations; working environments and conditions may vary by site.

Minimum Requirements:

• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
