We are hiring a Hose Assembly & Installation Technician to service, assemble, and install hydraulic and industrial hoses for a diverse customer base in varying environmental conditions. This is a messy job that requires manual labor and on‑call hours (with incentive pay); dedication and grit are essential. The role requires excellent communication and customer service skills, a natural problem‑solving attitude, and a mechanical inclination.
Responsibilities- Comply with industry and PIRTEK safety standards
- Perform local service calls and customer visits
- Diagnose and replace faulty hoses and assemblies
- Clean or contain spills per regulations
- Record service details for accurate invoicing
- Maintain tools, equipment, and mobile service unit
- Build and sustain customer relationships
- Resolve issues on‑site and follow up regularly
- Participate in rotating on‑call schedule (with incentive pay)
- Handle other related duties as assigned
Operate from a PIRTEK Service & Supply Center using a fully equipped mobile workshop van, provide services within a designated territory, work in varied environments and conditions, handle oil, grease and other substances regularly, and occasionally travel for company‑paid training.
Skills & Abilities Needed- Ability to sit, stand, kneel, bend, and stoop for extended periods
- Safely use ladders, steps, and stairs
- Mechanical aptitude; skilled with hand tools and specialized equipment
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Self‑motivated with a positive attitude
- Able to work independently and in a team
- Lift up to 50 lbs
- Valid license to safely operate a large work van
- High School diploma or GED
- Driver’s License with clean driving record
- Experience in industrial development & construction, automobile/marine/field mechanics, or a related industry is a plus
- Ability to pass a background check & drug screening
Compensation: $22.00 - $27.00 per hour.
