Facilities Technician II
The Facilities Technician II is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing building systems to ensure a safe, efficient, and reliable facility environment. This hands-on role supports HVAC, electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and general building maintenance activities, with a strong focus on preventive maintenance, system performance, and customer service. This position is based on-site in Goodyear, AZ, and includes participation in an on-call rotation.
Key Responsibilities- Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on HVAC, electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and building systems.
- Conduct facility inspections and identify maintenance, safety, and operational concerns.
- Troubleshoot equipment issues and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime.
- Maintain lighting systems, replace filters and belts, clean HVAC coils, and perform routine system maintenance.
- Complete general building maintenance, including doors, furniture, fixtures, and minor repairs.
- Monitor equipment performance, record readings, and maintain accurate maintenance records in the CMMS.
- Coordinate with vendors and contractors, ensuring quality work and cost-effective service.
- Manage inventory, purchasing, and maintenance-related documentation.
- Follow all safety procedures, regulatory requirements, and hazardous material handling guidelines.
- Respond professionally to facility service requests and support emergency maintenance needs.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- 2+ years of commercial building maintenance experience.
- Experience with HVAC, electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and general facility maintenance.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Experience using CMMS/work order systems and Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent customer service, communication, and organizational skills.
- Valid driver's license, if required.
- Trade school education or technical certifications.
- Experience with fire/life safety systems and building controls.
- Knowledge of preventive maintenance programs and contractor coordination.
- EPA or HVAC-related certifications are a plus.
- Ability to lift up to 80 pounds.
- Frequent climbing, bending, kneeling, stooping, and overhead work.
- Ability to work from ladders up to 30 feet and in varying indoor and outdoor conditions.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Goodyear, AZ.
Pay and Benefits:
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $29.00/hr eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
