Facility Technician
The Facility Technician assists in the maintenance and operation of building facilities and equipment crucial to the factory and office operations. They will support ongoing capital projects and maintenance activities, focusing on ensuring the efficiency and reliability of the factory support systems.
Responsibilities- Perform general maintenance and repair of facility infrastructure, office spaces, and manufacturing support areas, ensuring a safe, functional, and professional working environment.
- Install, troubleshoot, repair, and replace lighting systems, including LED fixtures, light tubes, ballasts, switches, controls, and electrical outlets.
- Perform basic electrical troubleshooting and repairs on facility equipment, including motors, receptacles, power circuits, sensors, and lighting systems.
- Inspect, maintain, and repair plumbing systems and fixtures, including faucets, toilets, urinals, valves, piping, drains, gauges, and water filtration systems.
- Install, maintain, and troubleshoot water filtration and water treatment equipment to ensure reliable operation and water quality.
- Perform minor carpentry tasks such as painting, drywall repair, patching, and ceiling tile replacement.
- Assemble, install, repair, and relocate office and facility furniture, fixtures, shelving, workstations, doors, frames, locks, and related hardware.
- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of facility support equipment including chillers, air compressors, pumps, motors, exhaust fans, air handling units (AHUs), HVAC systems, and building utility systems.
- Execute preventive maintenance activities on facility equipment, including filter replacement, belt replacement, lubrication, oil changes, drain cleaning, equipment cleaning, operational checks, and documentation of maintenance activities.
- Perform daily, weekly, and monthly utility equipment inspections and complete operational checklists to monitor equipment health, and escalate issues as needed.
- Utilize diagnostic and testing instruments such as multimeters, clamp meters, pressure gauges, temperature meters to troubleshoot equipment and utility system issues.
- Support facility infrastructure upgrades, repairs, installations, and improvement projects.
- Perform basic welding, cutting, grinding, drilling, and fabrication activities to support facility repairs and maintenance projects.
- Operate equipment including forklifts, telehandlers, boom lifts, and scissor lifts to perform maintenance and repair tasks.
- Read and interpret architectural drawings, equipment manuals, technical specifications, and maintenance procedures to support repair and installation activities.
- Procure material from local suppliers and vendors as needed to support facility operations.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records, inspection logs, and work order documentation.
- Follow all company safety policies, Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures, and environmental, health, and safety requirements.
- Support 5S, continuous improvement, and facility reliability initiatives.
- Provide support for after-hours emergencies and critical facility equipment issues as required.
- Collaborate with supervisors and other departments to support facility, warehouse, production, and operational needs.

Skills & Qualifications
- Technical school or vocational training in maintenance, electrical, mechanical, HVAC, or related field preferred.

Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Goodyear, AZ.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $25.00 - $32.00/hr.
