Maintenance Technician

Invitation Homes is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to support our single-family rental homes. In this role, you will perform routine and emergency maintenance, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and appliance repairs. You'll complete work orders, conduct inspections, and ensure homes are safe, functional, and move in ready. The technician will diagnose issues, source parts, and work with vendors as needed while maintaining accurate records.

You'll interact professionally with residents, prioritize service requests, and uphold our standards for quality, safety, and customer satisfaction in a performance-driven, team-oriented culture.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine, preventative, and emergency maintenance on single-family rental homes
• Diagnose and repair basic plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and appliance issues
• Complete and document work orders in a timely and accurate manner
• Conduct property inspections to ensure safety, habitability, and readiness standards
• Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to obtain parts and specialized services
• Respond to resident service requests and communicate professionally on status and resolutions
• Prioritize maintenance tasks to meet service-level expectations and minimize downtime
• Follow safety protocols, building codes, and company maintenance standards
• Support make-ready turns for new move-ins and renovation projects
• Maintain tools, equipment, and inventory in good working order
