Field Maintenance Technician

Invitation Homes is seeking a Field Maintenance Technician to support our single-family rental homes. In this role, you will complete scheduled and resident-requested repairs, troubleshoot basic electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and appliance issues, and perform exterior and interior maintenance to ensure homes are safe, functional, and move-in ready. You'll inspect properties, document work performed, and update service orders using mobile tools. Working independently in the field, you'll interact professionally with residents, vendors, and team members, prioritizing work orders, ensuring quality standards, and upholding our performance, safety, and customer service expectations.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and emergency maintenance on single-family rental homes
• Troubleshoot and repair basic plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and appliance issues
• Complete interior and exterior repairs to ensure homes are safe and move-in ready
• Conduct property inspections and identify maintenance needs
• Update, track, and close work orders using mobile or digital systems
• Communicate professionally with residents regarding repair status and timelines
• Coordinate with vendors and internal teams for specialized repairs
• Prioritize daily work orders to meet service level and quality expectations
• Follow company safety standards, policies, and regulatory guidelines
• Document materials used, labor time, and condition of properties after service
