Shuttle Crew Drivers

This job order is for Agricultural Equipment Operators that will drive fellow workers.

• Transporting H-2A workers to and from fields, housing, or other designated locations.
• Ensuring workers arrive on time and in a safe manner.
• Transport passengers to and from work each day from housing, and transport workers to and from the worksite to local grocery stores weekly for grocery purchases.
• Managing vehicle maintenance: routine checks, refueling, cleaning, regulating tire pressure, heating, lighting, and ventilation for passenger comfort.
• Performing minor vehicle repairs such as cleaning spark plugs, regulating tire pressure, and testing vehicle equipment (lights, brakes, horns, windshield wipers).
• Notifying mechanics of vehicle problems, and taking vehicles to mechanics for servicing when required.
• Logging times in and out for workers and arranging to pick up particular groups on a regular basis.
• Complying with all state and federal traffic laws, as well as H-2A program requirements.

• A valid driver's license (depending on the size of the vehicle or state regulations). Minimally a Class B license.
• Passenger endorsement or a Federal Class A Driver license.
• A clean driving record.
• Familiarity with the local area or designated routes.
• Ability to communicate with workers, often in Spanish or another relevant language.
• The job requires a minimum of 3 months of verifiable experience driving agricultural workers.

• Harvest crops by hand and work in the fields for long periods of time.
• Work in the packing house packing vegetables.
• Perform a variety of duties related to the production of herbs and vegetables.
• Manually plant, cultivate and harvest vegetables such as Green/Red Romaine, Green/Red Oak, Green/Red Leaf, Mizuna, Arugula, Green/Red Chard, Tatsoi, Spinach, Kale and other varieties including lettuce crops, culinary herbs and microgreens.
• Use hand tools such as shovels, trowels, hoes, tampers, pruning hooks, shears and knives.
• Perform tasks such as tilling soil, applying fertilizers, transplanting, weeding, thinning or pruning crops, and applying pesticides.
