Role Description The Delivery Driver role at Horizon Distributors, Inc. is a full-time, on-site position located in Goodyear, AZ. In this role, the driver is responsible for safely loading, securing, and delivering products to customers and branch locations, following all company and traffic safety guidelines. Daily tasks include reviewing delivery schedules, performing vehicle inspections, maintaining delivery documentation, and providing courteous, professional service at each stop.
The driver may assist with warehouse operations such as receiving, staging, and operating material-handling equipment when needed. The role also involves communicating with the branch team about delivery issues, product returns, and any customer concerns to ensure efficient and accurate order fulfillment.
Qualifications
- Strong Customer Service skills, with the ability to interact professionally with customers and colleagues.
- Experience with Forklift Operation or other material-handling equipment, and adherence to safety procedures.
- Training and Sales experience that supports product knowledge sharing and add-on sales when appropriate.
- Background in Food & Beverage or similar service environments demonstrating reliability, time management, and attention to detail.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; ability to meet company and state driving requirements.
- Ability to lift and move materials safely, work in outdoor conditions, and follow established safety protocols.
- Basic math and documentation skills for handling delivery paperwork, inventory counts, and route logs.
- Previous experience in distribution, warehouse, or logistics environments is beneficial.
