Position Overview

The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for the day-to-day execution of warehouse operations supporting GTI Fabrication’s manufacturing environment. This role provides hands-on leadership to warehouse and material handling teams while ensuring materials are received, stored, controlled, picked, staged, and delivered accurately and on time to support production requirements.

This position plays a critical role in maintaining material flow across a fast-paced, high-mix manufacturing operation. The Warehouse Supervisor will lead frontline employees, drive safety and inventory discipline, coordinate priorities with Production, Planning, Supply Chain, and Quality, and ensure the warehouse is positioned to support changing manufacturing schedules and customer requirements.

The ideal candidate is a strong floor leader who understands warehouse operations in a manufacturing environment and can balance people leadership, inventory accuracy, material flow, and daily execution.

Key Responsibilities
Warehouse Operations & Material Flow
  • Supervise daily warehouse activities including receiving, put-away, storage, picking, staging, material movement, and shipping support.
  • Ensure materials are accurately and efficiently delivered to production based on manufacturing schedules and priorities.
  • Coordinate material staging and replenishment to prevent shortages and production delays.
  • Maintain organized and clearly defined warehouse, staging, and material storage areas.
  • Monitor inbound and outbound material flow and quickly address bottlenecks, shortages, or competing priorities.
  • Partner with Production, Planning, Procurement, Quality, and other Supply Chain functions to support manufacturing requirements.
  • Ensure proper handling and storage of raw materials, purchased components, work-in-process, and finished goods.
  • Support changing production priorities while maintaining control of warehouse operations.
Team Leadership & Development
  • Provide direct supervision and daily leadership to Material Handlers, Forklift Operators, Warehouse Associates, Leads, and other assigned warehouse personnel.
  • Establish clear expectations for safety, productivity, quality, attendance, and accountability.
  • Conduct daily shift meetings and communicate workload, priorities, safety expectations, and operational changes.
  • Assign labor based on workload, production requirements, and business priorities.
  • Coach and develop employees while addressing performance or attendance issues in a timely manner.
  • Build a team culture focused on ownership, urgency, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
  • Support employee training and ensure team members are properly trained on warehouse processes, equipment, and safety requirements.
Inventory Control & Accuracy
  • Maintain strong inventory accuracy through disciplined receiving, material movement, transaction, and storage practices.
  • Ensure inventory transactions are completed accurately and timely within the ERP/WMS system.
  • Support cycle counts, physical inventories, inventory audits, and reconciliation activities.
  • Investigate inventory discrepancies and partner with Inventory Control and Supply Chain teams to identify root causes and corrective actions.
