We're recruiting for an experienced HGV Technician to join a well-established commercial vehicle maintenance operation in Goole.
This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified technician looking for a permanent night-shift position, with strong earning potential, overtime opportunities and ongoing technical development.

Working Hours
The role operates on a 4 on, 4 off shift pattern:
4 nights on: 6:00pm-6:00am
4 days off

The Role
As an HGV Technician, you will be responsible for the inspection, maintenance and repair of HGVs and trailers, ensuring vehicles are safe, compliant and maintained to a high standard.

Duties will include:

· Servicing, inspection, maintenance and repair of HGVs and trailers

· Mechanical, electrical, electronic and hydraulic fault finding

· Diagnosing and repairing vehicle faults

· Electrical repairs and component replacement

· Welding and metalwork when required

· Preparing vehicles for MOT/DVSA inspections

· Accurately completing job cards and maintenance records

· Supporting apprentices and other members of the workshop team

· Carrying out repairs and inspections on workshop equipment when required

About You
The successful HGV Technician will have:

· NVQ Level 3 in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent, or proven HGV Technician experience

· Previous HGV or commercial vehicle maintenance experience

· Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills

· Good mechanical and electrical knowledge

· Ability to use hand and power tools confidently

· Full UK Driving Licence

· Class 1 licence desirable but not essential

· Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team
