Senior Planner | Heavy Industrial Maintenance
Location: Goose Creek, SC
Compensation: $110,000 - $145,000 Base Salary + Bonus

Insight Global is seeking a Senior Planner to support a large-scale industrial manufacturing operation in the Charleston area. This individual will play a key role in driving maintenance planning, scheduling, reliability, and overall asset performance across multiple production value streams.
This opportunity is ideal for someone with a strong background in maintenance planning, shutdown execution, CMMS work management, and reliability improvement within a heavy industrial environment.
Responsibilities
- Lead maintenance planning and scheduling activities across the facility
- Manage maintenance work orders through the full CMMS lifecycle
- Develop and maintain short and long-term maintenance schedules
- Drive schedule compliance and reduce reactive maintenance work
- Plan and coordinate major shutdowns, turnarounds, and outage activities
- Coordinate labor, contractors, materials, and maintenance resources
- Maintain and prioritize maintenance backlogs to ensure work readiness
- Partner with Operations, Engineering, Reliability, and Storeroom teams
- Analyze maintenance KPIs and support continuous improvement initiatives
- Strengthen preventive and predictive maintenance programs
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Industrial Technology, Maintenance, or a related field preferred
- 5+ years of maintenance experience within a heavy industrial or manufacturing environment
- 3+ years of maintenance planning, scheduling, reliability, or maintenance leadership experience
- Experience leading shutdowns, turnarounds, or large maintenance projects
- Strong CMMS experience and understanding of maintenance work management processes
- Knowledge of preventive maintenance, predictive maintenance, and reliability best practices
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
Preferred Experience
- Planning & Scheduling Certification (PSC)
- Experience with in aluminum, steel, metals, chemical, mining, paper, pulp & paper, refining, or similar industrial manufacturing environments
