HII's Newport News Shipbuilding is seeking a detail-oriented materials preparer in Goose Creek, SC. You will assemble lists of materials, accessories, and parts used in production in accordance with engineering blueprints and design documents.
You will examine blueprints, identify parts codes, compute quantities, and compile total material requirements including contract numbers, routing, and special handling instructions. This list is then submitted to Purchasing to support purchase orders.
