Research Program Coordinator I / Community Health Worker (College of Nursing, University of South Carolina)
The University of South Carolina’s College of Nursing is hiring a Research Program Coordinator I to assist in coordinating and delivering a telehealth/remote intervention for a NIH‑funded study on chronic disease management among adults and their caregivers in medically underserved and rural areas of South Carolina.
Job Responsibilities- Work with licensed research nurse (RN) and research team members to coordinate and deliver telehealth interventions to patients and care partners.
- Collaborate with patients and caregivers to operationalize wellness goals and plans, including resource navigation and referral assistance.
- Facilitate access to community health and other resources.
- Adhere to study protocols, procedures, and established timelines.
- Work independently and with limited supervision while maintaining thorough documentation.
- Maintain communication with the supervising team leader and schedule accordingly.
- Experience working with under‑resourced, rural, or historically marginalized adult populations with chronic health conditions.
- Experience in collaborative community‑based rural health research or clinical trials.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams).
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to multitask and manage multiple responsibilities.
- Organized, self‑motivated, and detail‑oriented.
- Flexible schedule with some evenings and weekends; schedule arranged with supervising leader.
