Job DescriptionDuties DUTY 1:
Plans, organizes, and directs the activities of Training Section, ensuring that Training section complies with legal and regulatory requirements and meets customer needs. DUTY 2:
Exercises supervisory personnel management responsibilities. DUTY 3:
Represents 628th Security Forces Squadron Training with a variety of installation and functional area organizations. DUTY 4:
Prepares written correspondence and other documentation.

- This position is subject to provisions of the DoD Priority Placement Program
- This is a drug testing designated position. The incumbent is subject to random testing for drug use. This position has been designated by the Air Force as a Testing Designated Position (TDP) under the Air Force Civilian Testing Program.
- Employee may be required to work other than normal duty hours, to include evenings, weekends and/or holidays
- Shift work and emergency overtime may be required

- This position is designated as a key position IA W AFI 36-507. Duties of this position are essential to the accomplishment of wartime/contingency operations.
- This is a Mission Essential position performing a Mission Critical Function which must continue uninterrupted after the occurrence of an emergency and continued through full resumption of all functions.
In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Administrative and Management Positions. SPECIALIZED
EXPERIENCE:
Applicants must have at least one (1) year of specialized experience at the next lower grade GS-09, or equivalent in other pay systems. Examples of specialized experience includes:
Directs and supervises the work of the Training Section for the squadron that is responsible for a wide range of training programs and initiatives IA W AFI 36-2646, AFI 36-2651 and AFI 31-117;
Plans, develops, coordinates, schedules, accomplishes, and/or monitors various training activities to include military and civilian security forces training to include formal and Home Station Training to include Law and Order Operations, self defense, Use of Force, CFETP's, Small Arms, etc.;
Prepares lesson plans and teaches personnel in various Security Forces functional activities;
Plans, coordinates, and executes training exercises. OR
EDUCATION:
Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.M., if related.

(KSAs):
Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:
- Knowledge of a wide range of security concepts, principles, and practices to review, analyze, and resolve difficult and complex security problems.
- Knowledge of a broad range of security program relationships to make recommendations allowing for differing program requirements, and multiple security objectives.
- Knowledge of DoD and Air Force anti-terrorism and force protection doctrine, policies, and instructions to coordinate objectives and develop plans for interrelated security programs.
- Knowledge of security systems, practices, principles, and procedures utilized in other DoD agencies, as well as private industry, to ensure up-to-date security applications.
