Gorham School District, Village Elementary School – Grade 2 – is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated 2nd Grade Teacher who is committed to creating a nurturing and engaging learning environment. The ideal candidate fosters a positive classroom community, delivers engaging and differentiated instruction, and supports the academic and social‑emotional growth of all learners.

• Plan and deliver high‑quality instruction aligned with grade‑level standards
• Create a safe, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment
• Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of students
• Use assessment data to inform instruction and provide targeted support
• Collaborate with colleagues in grade‑level teams and Professional Learning Communities (PLCs)
• Communicate effectively with families to support student learning and development
• Integrate social‑emotional learning into daily classroom practices

• Maine Elementary Teaching Certification (or eligibility)
• Knowledge of early literacy, numeracy, and child development
• Strong classroom management, communication, and collaboration skills
• Commitment to meeting the needs of all learners
