Gorham Middle School is seeking a motivated and student-centered educator to join our ELA/Social Studies team for the  SY. The ideal candidate brings content knowledge, is collaborative, and has a genuine enthusiasm for working with young adolescents.

• Deliver engaging, standards-aligned instruction in ELA and Social Studies to 6th-grade students
• Use data to inform instructional decisions and support student growth
• Collaborate with grade-level teams to support student learning, behavior, and well-being
• Communicate proactively with families and maintain accurate records in the gradebook
• Participate in school-wide initiatives, professional development, and team meetings

• Bachelor's degree required;
  Maine educator certification required or anticipated by start date
• Eligible for Maine certification in at least one of the following:
  • English Language Arts (100) and/or Social Studies (200) under Middle Level Teacher (5–8) or Secondary Teacher (6–12)
  • Elementary Teacher (020)
• Experience working with late elementary or middle school students preferred
• Strong communication, organizational, and collaborative skills
