Key Responsibilities Curriculum & Instruction
- Design and implement high-quality math instruction that aligns with state and school standards.
- Develop lesson plans that accommodate a range of student abilities and encourage personal growth and mathematical literacy.
- Adapt and scaffold curriculum to ensure all students have equitable access to rigorous high‑school programming.
- Deliver differentiated instruction using research‑based strategies in a culturally responsive classroom environment.
- Evaluate student progress using clear, consistent assessment methods and provide meaningful feedback to support academic goals.
- Monitor student growth regularly to determine mastery of standards and provide additional support or enrichment as needed.
- Maintain accurate records of student achievement and communicate progress effectively to families and administration.
- Collaborate with department colleagues to integrate mathematical initiatives and cross‑curricular opportunities school‑wide.
- Engage with parents, administrators, and community partners to promote the importance of mathematics and student well‑being.
- Contribute to a safe, inclusive, and empowered learning environment where students from diverse backgrounds feel seen and supported.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics or a related field.
- Valid Maine State Certification for teaching high‑school mathematics or eligibility for certification.
- Previous teaching experience at the high‑school level is preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a commitment to educational equity.
- Proficiency with classroom management and research‑based instructional methodologies.

- Competitive salary and benefits package. Salary range: $48,759 – $103,126.
