Full Time Substitute/Educator Apprentice Program
These employees will work 33.5 hours a week for the school year in the special education settings to assist Special Education Teachers in the implementation of student learning plans and will assist with other additional duties as necessary. Individuals hired for these positions will be part of the Educator Apprentice program in partnership with Southern Maine Community College (SMCC) and will be automatically enrolled s apprentice program will allow individuals to earn 61 college credits in 2 years tuition free and while working with full time with benefits.
Classes will take place 1x a week in Gorham for three hours throughout the school year, with one class each year being a full week course in late August (8am-4pm, M-F).
