White Pine & Americorps Nature-Based Intervention Initiative
As a White Pine Ameri Corps member, you'll gain expertise in our teaching methodologies, participate in specialized training, and engage with a wide array of community partners like schools, libraries, and land trusts. You'll develop and deliver nature-based lesson plans for children and seniors, adapting to weather and different ages. You'll also contribute to our digital resource database and participate regularly in our all-weather forest school and after school nature clubs.
You will help find new areas for community connection and take a leadership role with our community engagement programs. This role includes self-reflection for continuous personal and program improvement, including the opportunity to attend trainings and conferences.
Ameri Corps members will participate in our all outdoor Forest School, after-school nature clubs, and other regular programming to learn White Pine methodologies, naturalist skills, and more. They will be essential in conducting free, community programming to break down barriers to accessing nature education. This will mean working in schools, senior centers, community fairs, and more.
