Our client in Gorham is urgently hiring a Temporary Dimensional / Precision Inspector to support high-quality machining operations. This position pays $28-30/hour and is expected to last 3-6 months, making this an excellent opportunity for an experienced inspector seeking strong pay, meaningful work, and flexibility without a long-term commitment.

This is a hands-on precision quality role, ideal for someone who enjoys working with tight tolerances, technical drawings, and measurement tools - where your inspections directly impact production accuracy, prevent rework, and keep manufacturing running smoothly.

• Perform dimensional inspections on machined parts using precision measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges
• Conduct first-article and in-process inspections to verify parts meet engineering drawings and specifications
• Inspect incoming raw materials and components for dimensional accuracy
• Accurately document and record inspection results and communicate findings to the production team

• Experience with dimensional inspection in a machining or manufacturing environment
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications (GD&T exposure a plus)
• Strong problem-solving skills with basic math and trigonometry knowledge
• Detail-oriented team player comfortable in a fast-paced shop environment
• Ability to pass a background check
