Dimensional / Precision Inspector – Short‑Term Role, High‑Impact Accuracy Pay Rate: $28–30/hour.

Schedule:

Monday–Thursday, 6:00 AM–4:30 PM (optional OT on Fridays). Assignment Length:
Temporary – 3–6 months. This position pays $28–30/hour and is expected to last 3–6 months, making this an excellent opportunity for an experienced inspector seeking strong pay, meaningful work, and flexibility without a long‑term commitment. Our client in Gorham is urgently hiring a Temporary Dimensional / Precision Inspector to support high‑quality machining operations. This is a hands‑on precision quality role, ideal for someone who enjoys working with tight tolerances, technical drawings, and measurement tools, where your inspections directly impact production accuracy, prevent rework, and keep manufacturing running smoothly.

Daily Duties
  • Perform dimensional inspections on machined parts using precision measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
  • Conduct first‑article and in‑process inspections to verify parts meet engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Inspect incoming raw materials and components for dimensional accuracy.
  • Accurately document and record inspection results and communicate findings to the production team.
Qualifications
  • Experience with dimensional inspection in a machining or manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications (GD&T exposure a plus).
  • Strong problem‑solving skills with basic math and trigonometry knowledge.
  • Detail‑oriented team player comfortable in a fast‑paced shop environment.
  • Ability to pass a background check.
