Production Assembler Pay 19 Job Description

The Production Assembler performs repetitive, hands-on assembly of handmade products in a manufacturing environment before they are shipped to customers. You work at a designated station using hand tools, power tools, and other equipment to build high-quality components, while following detailed work instructions and standard operating procedures. This role is physically active and requires standing for most of the shift and consistently lifting moderate to heavy parts.

Responsibilities
  • Perform repeated assembly tasks on handmade products according to established work instructions and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Use a variety of hand tools, power tools, and other instruments to assemble mechanical and industrial components.
  • Work at a designated station within a lean manufacturing process, maintaining consistent quality and productivity.
  • Read and follow basic mechanical instructions, diagrams, or blueprints as needed to complete assembly tasks.
  • Operate general production and basic machine operation equipment safely and efficiently as required.
  • Inspect assembled parts for accuracy, quality, and completeness, ensuring products meet specifications before shipment.
  • Handle metal parts, cast iron, and other industrial materials safely, including lifting 35-50 lbs on a consistent basis.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in accordance with company policies and manufacturing standards.
  • Follow all safety guidelines, including proper use of personal protective equipment and adherence to plant rules.
  • Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production goals and support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Participate in training and cross-training to learn new positions and expand skills within the production environment.
Essential Skills
  • Experience using hand tools and power tools in a manufacturing, assembly, or general labor environment.
  • Ability to stand and work on your feet for 8-10 hours per shift.
  • Ability to consistently lift and move 35-50 lbs throughout the shift.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal work instructions and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Attention to detail to ensure accurate and high-quality assemblies.
  • Willingness to learn new tasks and train on additional positions within the production area.
  • Comfort working with mechanical components, industrial materials, and general production processes.
Additional

Skills & Qualifications
  • Experience in mechanical assembly or general production work.
  • Familiarity with basic mechanical concepts and blueprint or diagram reading.
  • Exposure to lean manufacturing processes and continuous improvement environments.
  • Experience in industrial or machine operation settings.
  • Strong work ethic, reliability, and ability to work as part of a production team.
