Line Cook​/Pantry

Aster & Rose is looking for a Pantry & Line Cook to join our small, hardworking kitchen team.

We are a scratch kitchen that cares about good ingredients, local sourcing, and making things the right way. We’re looking for someone who may be earlier in their kitchen career, but has some restaurant experience and the basic skills to get started — comfortable with a knife, basic prep, keeping a clean station, and working as part of a team.

Because we’re a small kitchen crew, this is a great opportunity for someone who wants to learn and grow. You’ll work closely with our Chef and Sous Chef, learning new techniques, building your skills, and getting hands‑on experience with scratch cooking and seasonal ingredients.

• Prepare and plate salads, desserts, and other pantry items
• Assist with basic food prep and mise en place
• Work the line as you gain experience and confidence
• Keep your station clean, organized, and stocked
• Follow recipes and kitchen standards
• Work closely with the Chef and Sous Chef
• Help contribute to a positive, hardworking kitchen environment

• Has some previous kitchen or restaurant experience
• Has basic knife and food-prep skills
• Is eager to learn and improve
• Cares about good food and quality ingredients
• Is dependable, hardworking, and willing to jump in wherever needed
• Works well on a small team
• Takes pride in keeping a clean and organized kitchen

Experience level:
Entry-level to early-career kitchen experience welcome. If you have the basics and the right attitude, we can teach you the rest.
