Experienced Barista

Mornings in Paris is looking for a passionate and motivated Barista to become part of our dynamic team! In this role, you’ll not only enjoy a competitive hourly wage but also have the opportunity to earn excellent tips. We are a French, Parisian-inspired café located in the busy Lower Village of Kennebunk and along Main Street in Ogunquit. Our Kennebunk location has been serving customers for five years, establishing itself as a beloved local destination. Ogunquit, which has now been open for two years, also captures the essence of our café's charm.

At Mornings in Paris, we proudly serve our loyal year-round customers while also welcoming seasonal tourists during the vibrant summer months and the festive Christmas Prelude season.

Our goal for the Barista role is to support your growth through continuous on-the-job training and exposure to new opportunities, with the aim of advancing to a Senior Barista position.

• Prepare beverages from our extensive drink lists or customize them based on customers preference.
• Maintain knowledge of menu items, ingredients, and preparation techniques.
• Ensure consistent quality and presentation of beverages.

• Take coffee orders from customers and colleagues.
• Take food orders and package or serve them to customers.
• Operate cash register and process payment.

• Opening and closing responsibilities.
• Regularly check coffee machines throughout the day and maintain cleanliness of the machines and work area.
• Ensure cleanliness and organization of the service area, including counters, coffee and espresso machines, tables, floors, and bathrooms.

• Consider yourself a people person.
• Work well with others in a fast-paced environment.
• Are committed to providing excellent service and creating a welcoming atmosphere for customers.
• Can work quickly and effectively without compromising quality.
• Have previous barista experience (preferred but not essential).

The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. This position requires standing for extended periods during shifts and frequent walking and movement throughout the work area. Proficient manual dexterity is essential for handling equipment, preparing beverages, and serving food, along with the ability to reach with hands and arms for various tasks. Effective communication skills are necessary, as the employee must be able to talk and hear in a busy environment.

Additionally, the role may involve occasional tasks that require sitting, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling as needed.
