Technician, Refrigeration​/HVAC

Position Summary

We are looking for a Supermarket Rack Refrigeration HVAC Technician to support and oversee repairs of refrigeration HVAC equipment at Walmart facilities. The role will utilize commercial HVAC and refrigeration skills to complete jobs using hand tools, digital tools, and power tools. The Technician will work within a fast‑paced, welcoming environment.

• Maintain and repair Walmart facility refrigeration and HVAC equipment.
• Use the work order management system to receive repair work orders and support store associates.
• Provide prompt response to emergency maintenance calls.
• Inspect, operate, and test equipment or fixtures to diagnose issues.
• Complete all required training to operate equipment and tools safely.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA and EPA regulations and follow Walmart safety policies.
• Lift up to 75 pounds, move on ladders, and work at heights frequently.

• 2 years of experience in commercial refrigeration and HVAC maintenance.
• Large scale rack refrigeration experience.
• TypeI/TypeII or EPA certification for refrigerant handling.
• Valid state‑issued driver’s licence with a clean driving record and ability to pass an MVR.
• Minimum of 18 years old with a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Vocational or technical HVAC/R certification or a 2‑year HVAC/R program.

• Completion of a 2‑year HVAC/R vocational or technical program.
• Mechanical licence in the city or state where the job is located.
• 4 years of experience in mechanical maintenance or construction‑related field for commercial HVAC/R and building controls.

The hourly wage range for this position is $23.00–$45.00. Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid ranging from $0.35 to $3.00 per hour based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. The actual hourly rate will meet or exceed the applicable minimum wage.
