About the CompanyDamen Offshore & Specialized Vessels (OSV) designs and builds a wide range of highly specialized vessels for offshore, energy and maritime clients worldwide. Our projects are technically advanced, international in scope and executed by multidisciplinary teams.
Role OverviewAs Project Controller, you are responsible for the financial control of a portfolio of shipbuilding projects within OSV. You closely monitor project performance, challenge forecasts, and analyze margin and cash flow development. You actively support Project Managers in steering projects and making well‑informed decisions. You will typically work on medium‑sized or moderately complex projects, and support senior Project Controllers on larger or higher‑risk projects when required.
KeyAccountabilities
- Monitor and analyze project budgets, forecasts, margins, risks and cash flow.
- Prepare periodic project reports, variance analyses and forecast updates.
- Identify deviations in cost, planning, scope and financial results and explain root causes.
- Support Project Managers with financial insights, scenario analyses and decision support.
- Challenge project assumptions and actively contribute to forecast quality.
- Ensure correct, timely and compliant financial administration in line with Damen and OSV standards.
- Maintain project control files, reconciliations and supporting documentation.
- Support senior Project Controllers on large or complex projects when required.
- Contribute to improvements in project control processes, tools and reporting structures.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics or a related field.
- Approximately 3–6 years of relevant experience in controlling, finance, audit, consultancy or project administration.
- Experience in a project‑driven environment is preferred.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to translate financial data into practical business insight.
- Comfortable working with project budgets, forecasts, margins and cash flow analyses.
- Proactive, accurate and able to collaborate with various stakeholders.
- Able to challenge constructively and communicate clearly.
- Solid Excel skills and experience with financial systems.
- Good command of English;
Dutch is an advantage.
