ROLE AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will have hands‑on experience in managing import container payables and processing freight invoices. This role requires strong problem‑solving skills and a solid understanding of payment terms, including discounts such as net 30-1% net 30.
Key Responsibilities:- Process and review accounts payable transactions, focusing on import container payables and freight invoices
- Ensure all invoices are coded, approved, and entered into the accounting system accurately and timely
- Monitor payment schedules and ensure adherence to vendor terms, including discount opportunities (e.g., net 30-1% net 30)
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies in a professional and timely manner
- Collaborate with internal departments and vendors to address and resolve invoice or payment issues
- Maintain organized and up‑to‑date accounts payable records and documentation
- Proven experience handling imports container payables and freight invoice processing
- Strong knowledge of accounts payable best practices and procedures
- Familiarity with payment terms and early payment discounts
- Excellent problem‑solving and analytical skills
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Proficient with accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience in the RV industry required.
- Experience handling imports container payables and freight invoices
This position operates Monday through Friday, from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. However, flexibility is essential, as occasional early morning, evening, weekend, or holiday work may be required based on business needs and collaboration with international teams.
Work primarily occurs in an office setting, involving desk‑based activities such as computer use and occasional light walking and lifting tasks. This role will require occasional travel to other locations, for training, or to attend industry events.
