Dave Carter & Associates is looking for an experienced purchasing agent to join our team!
Dave Carter & Associates is a multi-line national distributor to multiple industries including manufactured housing, modular builders, recreational vehicles, commercial construction, cargo trailers and specialty vehicle industries.
Incorporated in September of 1978 as a distributor in the southeastern United States, Dave Carter & Associates grew into a national distributor within the next five years.
Currently Dave Carter & Associates has 11 distribution centers that serve all of the United States and Canada with our international division focusing on handling imports & exports.
We are a leader and dominant supplier in the products we sell, with a large market share in most products to the aforementioned industries.

Key Responsibilities- Execute strategic procurement initiatives across multiple product lines
- Manage vendor relationships and negotiate optimal terms
- Monitor inventory levels and maintain efficient supply chain operations
- Analyze market trends and pricing strategies
- Collaborate with sales and operations teams to ensure optimal stock levels
- Track and manage lead times across various product categories
- Implement cost-saving measures while maintaining quality standards
- Education:
Minimum high school diploma, GED, or equivalent - Must successfully complete E-Verify process
- Minimum 2 years purchasing experience in a manufacturing environment
- Demonstrated expertise in direct and indirect procurement
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
- Strategic problem-solving capabilities
- Strong analytical and negotiation abilities
- Excellence in vendor relationship management
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
Strong team collaboration skills - Experience with inventory management systems
