Dave Carter & Associates is looking for an experienced purchasing agent to join our team!

Dave Carter & Associates is a multi-line national distributor to multiple industries including manufactured housing, modular builders, recreational vehicles, commercial construction, cargo trailers and specialty vehicle industries.

Incorporated in September of 1978 as a distributor in the southeastern United States, Dave Carter & Associates grew into a national distributor within the next five years.

Currently Dave Carter & Associates has 11 distribution centers that serve all of the United States and Canada with our international division focusing on handling imports & exports.

We are a leader and dominant supplier in the products we sell, with a large market share in most products to the aforementioned industries.

Key Responsibilities
  • Execute strategic procurement initiatives across multiple product lines
  • Manage vendor relationships and negotiate optimal terms
  • Monitor inventory levels and maintain efficient supply chain operations
  • Analyze market trends and pricing strategies
  • Collaborate with sales and operations teams to ensure optimal stock levels
  • Track and manage lead times across various product categories
  • Implement cost-saving measures while maintaining quality standards
Required Qualifications
  • Education:

    Minimum high school diploma, GED, or equivalent
  • Must successfully complete E-Verify process
  • Minimum 2 years purchasing experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Demonstrated expertise in direct and indirect procurement
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
