Financial Analyst, Risk Manager/Analyst
As a Commercial Credit Analyst I, you will be responsible for supporting the underwriting, analysis, and monitoring of new and existing loan relationships of the Credit Union. You will manage a portfolio of members to include, but not limited to, evaluating the financial status of potential members, monitoring existing members, performing risk assessments, writing detailed reports, and making informed decisions while extending credit.
Under steady supervision, the Credit Analyst I will perform routine financial statement spread, pull credit reports, complete credit references, covenant and compliance testing, and credit summaries in a timely and accurate manner. Accountable for providing world class member service while executing Interra’s vision, mission and delivery of Core Values.
HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT- 60% Initially focused on financial statement spreading, report preparation, and preliminary credit analysis for commercial and/or agribusiness borrowers. Once proficient in those areas, the Credit Analyst I prepares detailed loan presentations focused on cash flow analysis and secondary repayment sources such as collateral and guarantor analysis, concluding with a recommendation to the appropriate credit authorities in the department.
- 25% Performing research/analysis related to projects such as industry studies, loan administration, basic financial analysis, and other duties as may be assigned by manager.
- 15% Compare liquidity, profitability, and credit histories of borrowers being evaluated with those in similar industries and geographic locations.
- Must comply with all company policies and procedures, applicable laws, and regulations, including but not limited to the Credit Union Secrecy Act, the USA PATRIOT Act, and the Office of Foreign Assets Control.
1+ year relevant experience in loan production, loan servicing or loan documentation.
Education / Certifications / LicensesBachelor's degree in Economics, Finance, Accounting, or related field.
PREFERRED SKILLS- Professional level of verbal and written communication skills are essential to the position.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Demonstrated knowledge of Credit Union regulations, products, policies, procedures, services, related federal state and federal laws and regulations.
- Ability to provide world class member service while executing Interra’s vision, mission, and delivery of Core Values.
