POSITION SUMMARY

Plays a key role in representing and leading Everence Asset Management's (EAM) investment function. This includes a primary focus on developing, overseeing, and supporting the delivery of EAM’s investment products. Responsible for effectively communicating investment strategies and performance to Everence financial consultants, key existing, and prospective clients. Guides investment product management to align with EAM’s overall business strategy.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
  • EAM investment strategies and products
  • In collaboration with the Everence Chief Investment Officer, the Senior Investment Officer is responsible for articulating EAM’s investment philosophy and strategy to provide high-quality investment services to EAM clients.
  • Conduct due diligence and ongoing oversight of processes for managing accounts with individual securities, including Everence Direct Index, separately managed bonds, and a wide range of other assets in Everence discretionary fiduciary portfolios.
  • Lead the development, maintenance, and review of client investment policies.
  • Participate in manager and fund analysis, oversight, and asset allocation research.
  • Participate as a member of the EAM leadership team.
  • Serve as the public face of EAM investments.
  • Clearly communicate investment philosophies, strategies, and performance results with Everence financial consultants, key clients, and prospects.
  • Lead the development and presentation of proposals to prospective clients, especially targeting major institutional and wealth management prospects.
  • Participate in and lead the development and delivery of investment reporting presentations and related materials for institutional and wealth management clients.
  • Develop educational materials for Everence consultants to enhance their knowledge and understanding of EAM investment options.
  • Manage a small book of major institutional and/or wealth management client relationships as appropriate for Everence Distribution system.
  • As requested, participate in reporting investment information and outcomes to Everence governance entities involving EAM investments, including Everence Trust Company Board of Directors, Mennonite Retirement Trust Board of Directors.
  • Collaborate closely with investment staff managing Everence Asset Management portfolios.
  • Work and collaborate with EAM staff to ensure smooth processes and the delivery of high-quality services to internal and external clients.
  • Serve on Everence Trust Company Investment Committee.
  • Engage with the Everence Investment team members as an active participant in their investment discussions.
  • Work with the Retirement Plan Services Manager to manage investment recommendations and options for employer-sponsored group retirement plans.
  • Collaborate with Everence colleagues to promote the delivery and communication of the Stewardship Investing philosophy and SRI-focused investment products.
  • Lead product development in collaboration with field, investment, and operations teams to meet client needs and objectives.
  • Other tasks assigned by the supervisor.
QUALIFICATIONS Education
  • Bachelor's degree in business or a related field
  • An investment designation such as CFA, CFP, or ChFc is preferred.
Experience

At least five years of substantial experience in the investment industry, including specific experience in designing and communicating investment strategies and performance to clients.
