Summary
$5,000 Bonus for FT/PT positions
The weekend premium is effective from 5:00 PM Friday through 7:00 AM Monday. It is applicable only to work performed by colleagues who have been assigned to the weekend shift and who have signed the memorandum of understanding and agreement and agree to the terms of the plan. A weekend shift will be 12 hours. Colleagues will work two (2), twelve (12) hour shifts.
Overtime will be paid only for hours worked in excess of forty (40) in a seven-day workweek
, as defined by Goshen Health per Department of Labor FLSA regulations. The 12 hours excludes lunchtime.
The Weekend Premium Registered Nurse (RN) practices consistent with the mission, vision and values of Goshen Health, the Department of Home Care & Hospice’s Philosophy, and model of care. Practices professional nursing at an excellent level within the Goshen nursing model of care keeping a primary focus on the patient/family using the nursing process, culturally appropriate interventions, and holistic principles with attention to continuity of care and patient advocacy, while maintaining a safe environment.
Is a leader in professional nursing both in direct care and in colleague relationships using ethical principles, collaboration, peer review, evidence based practice, and teaching & learning principles.
Position Qualifications
- Minimum Education: Registered nurse with a valid Indiana State RN license. As of May 1, 2016, Colleagues hired with an Associate’s Degree must enter into a BSN program within 12 months of hire and earn their BSN from a NLN or CCNE accredited program within 5years of beginning their BSN degree.
- Minimum Requirements:Valid Driver’s License.
Current auto insurance and access to automobile. - Minimum Experience: One year Med/Surg experience.
- Preferred Experience: One to two years experience related to unit of hire.
- Certifications Required: Healthcare Provider CPR certification
- Certifications Preferred: Hospice- CHPCN, Goshen Home Care:
