Location

Student Technology Specialists serve in key roles assisting in the support of campus users and campus IT systems. Responsible for providing a positive customer service experience, students in this role provide technical support to campus community members in person, via remote connection, over the phone, and through the online ticketing system.

• Installing and supporting hardware, including computers, printers, phones, AV equipment, and network connections
• Installing and supporting software applications, including Microsoft M365, Adobe Creative Cloud, and Google Workspace
• Receiving, documenting, and troubleshooting IT issues for campus users

• Promptness and Reliability – ability to show up on time and be productive
• Personal Organization – ability to prioritize multiple tasks and document work
• General comfort with computers and technology; desire to learn new skills
• Willingness to gracefully receive direction and constructive feedback
• Ability to use knowledge to troubleshoot issues and create workaround solutions
• Interest in learning IT systems

Previous experience with IT systems is desirable but not required. Some student techs have had little or no formal prior experience!
