We’re growing fast, and our Residential Roofing division is adding a Production Manager to lead all production operations. This role serves as the anchor of the Production Department, overseeing scheduling, job execution, quality control, field leadership, and customer communication. This is a hands‑on leadership position: 60% office‑based (planning, scheduling, communication, documentation) and 40% field‑based (site visits, inspections, coaching crews, resolving issues).

Initially, you’ll wear two hats:
Production Manager and Field Manager, as you help build and strengthen the department. You’ll lead the production team with clarity, structure, and accountability while embodying our company’s values.

Responsibilities What You’ll Get to See

What You’ll Get to Do Lead & Develop the Production Team
  • Oversee Field Managers, Site Supervisors, Foremen, and Installers
  • Hold teams accountable for performance, quality, timelines, and standards
  • Train crews in installation, safety, efficiency, and professionalism
  • Coach and evaluate new team members and subcontractors
Build & Manage the Production Schedule
  • Create weekly and long‑term production plans
  • Review scopes, measurements, and job packets before scheduling
  • Allocate labor, materials, and equipment efficiently
  • Keep projects on time and within budget
Ensure Quality, Safety, & Compliance
  • Conduct jobsite visits and quality control inspections
  • Enforce installation standards and OSHA safety requirements
  • Resolve escalated jobsite issues and ensure proper close‑out documentation
Drive Customer Communication & Experience
  • Partner with the Production Coordinator on escalations
  • Maintain professionalism and empathy when working with homeowners
  • Ensure customer expectations are met throughout the production cycle
Own Process & System Improvements
  • Identify bottlenecks and propose operational improvements
  • Track KPIs (cycle time, callbacks, profitability) and adjust processes as needed

Qualifications
  • 5+ years of general construction and/or roofing experience
  • 2+ years of leadership experience (e.g., foreman, field manager, crew lead)
  • Ability to manage multiple crews and job sites simultaneously
  • Ability to read scopes, drawings, measurements, and technical documentation
  • Strong technology skills (Google Suite, Zuper)
  • Valid IN or MI driver’s license
  • Ability to travel within 1.5 hours for the service area
  • Ability to work in the office and in the field (60% / 40% split)
  • Willingness to roll up your sleeves and help in the field whenever needed
  • OSHA or safety certification preferred, but not required

Compensation

$85,000 yearly plus bonus opportunity
