• Demonstrate basic sewing skills and/or aptitude through a sewing assessment.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instruction.
• Dependability in work performance and attendance.
• Willingness to rotate with other operators on various job processes according to the department schedule.

• Understand and apply customer (internal and external) quality expectations.
• Understand the Hour-By-Hour Chart cell performance chart.
• Basic understanding of a One Piece Pull system vs. a Batch and Push system.

• Understand and apply Wieland Designs Production Systems (WDPS) terms such as Takt Time, Operator Cycle Time, Standard Work, etc.
• Interpret information from the Hour-By-Hour chart and make proper adjustments to work within the cell.
• Properly operate industrial sewing machines according to company requirements and standards.

• Demonstrate ability to cross-train to multiple products.
• Ability to cross-train in multiple processes within the sewing cells.
• Demonstrate ability to work within a sewing cell.

• Physical demands: Must be able to stand 8-10 hours per day and operate industrial sewing machines. Repetitive movements required with arms grasping material with hands while operating an industrial sewing machine. Must have good visual ability to determine straight seam lines and color distinctions on various fabrics and materials. Must be able to lift 8-10 pounds consistently, and occasionally 20 pounds.
• Work environment: Consistent low noise level from sewing machines. Small airborne dust particles are created from handling cloth fabrics. Department is not air conditioned. Must be able to work in a non-air-conditioned production plant.

The Industrial Sewer will be able to efficiently construct needed products in a skilled manner. In the completion of these duties, they will provide a necessary link between efficient use of time, materials, and skills in constructing quality products for customers of Wieland Designs, Inc.

• Demostrar habilidades básicas de costura y/o aptitud mediante una evaluación de costura.
• Capacidad para seguir instrucciones verbales y escritas.
• Confiabilidad en el desempeño laboral y la asistencia.
• Disposición para rotar con otros operadores en diversos procesos de trabajo según el cronograma del departamento.

• Comprender y aplicar las expectativas de calidad del cliente (interno y externo).
• Comprender el gráfico de desempeño celular Hora por Hora.
• Comprensión básica de un sistema de flujo de una sola pieza en comparación con un sistema de lote y empuje.

• Comprender y aplicar los términos del Sistema de Producción Wieland Designs (WDPS) tales como Takt Time, Tiempo de Ciclo del Operador, Trabajo Estándar, etc.
• Interpretar la información del gráfico Hora por Hora y hacer los ajustes adecuados para trabajar dentro de la celda.
• Operar correctamente máquinas de coser industriales de acuerdo con los requisitos y estándares de la empresa.

• Demostrar capacidad para entrenarse en múltiples productos.
• Capacidad para entrenarse en múltiples procesos dentro de las celdas de costura.
• Demostrar capacidad para trabajar dentro de una celda de costura.

• Demandas físicas: Debe poder permanecer de pie 8-10 horas por día y operar máquinas de coser industriales. Movimientos repetitivos con los brazos sujetando material con las manos. Debe tener buena agudeza visual para costuras rectas y distinguir colores. Debe poder levantar entre 8-10 libras de forma constante, y ocasionalmente hasta 20 libras.
• Entorno de trabajo: Nivel de ruido bajo. Polvo en suspensión al manipular telas. El departamento no tiene aire acondicionado. Debe poder trabajar en una planta de producción sin aire acondicionado.

El Costurero Industrial será capaz de construir de manera eficiente los productos necesarios de forma especializada.
