Job Description
Forklift experience required. The role involves maintaining the supply of skids for auto lines and semi‑auto lines, double stacking empty bins, baling scrap cardboard, emptying gaylords of trash into the outside dumpster, pulling products from the warehouse for repacks, and assisting on packing lines when needed. The position requires maintaining knowledge of QMS and ISO standards, following and encouraging GMPs, ensuring safety procedures are followed, and training and mentoring new hires and temporary employees.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain supply of skids for auto lines and semi‑auto lines.
- Double stack empty bins.
- Bale scrap cardboard.
- Empty gaylord of trash into outside dumpster.
- Pull products from warehouse for repacks.
- Assist on packing lines when needed.
- Maintain knowledge of QMS and ISO standards.
- Follow and encourage GMPs (Good Manufacturing Practices).
- Ensure safety is a priority by following all safety procedures.
- Train and mentor new hires and temporary employees.
- Pull finished goods from take‑off lines and inventory complete to proper locations.
- Keep finished skids moved to maintain packing flow.
- Operate forklift in a safe manner.
- Be on time.
- Work well with other department members.
- Be a role model—no exceptions from safety absolutes and plant rules.
- If a task is unsafe, stop and request additional information, and take immediate action to address the hazard.
- Participate visibly in pre‑shift meetings reiterating safety.
- Daily review housekeeping with focus on your areas; don’t settle.
- Daily conduct conversations with team members on safety.
- Respond to employee concerns with respect.
- Forklift experience.
- Knowledge of QMS, ISO, and GMP standards.
- Strong safety mindset and commitment to plant rules.
- Ability to train and mentor others.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
