You willwork alongside experienced manufacturing professionals to assemble, fabricate, and paint high quality towing accessories. The Youth Apprenticeship focuses on in-depth safety practices, lean manufacturing principles, quality standards and manufacturing processes.
Duties and Responsibilities:To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. - Maintain academic skills and attendance at high school to remain on track for high school graduation.
- Participate in progress reviews.
- Exhibit maturity and responsibility to meet requirements of employment.
- Communicate effectively with co-workers and leadership.
- Complete all tasks in timely manner.
- Adhere to all safety policies of Lippert and the Youth Apprenticeship Program.
- Tasks may include welding, basic machine operation, lifting/stacking of parts, racking/un-racking of parts, labeling parts, packaging parts for shipment.
- All other duties as assigned.

This role does not have any supervisory responsibility upon hiring.
Physical Demands:The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by a Team Member to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active and requires 98% standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping or crouching, lifting a minimum of 50lbs occasionally. In addition, this position requires repetitive use of hands to operate machines. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
PositionType/Expected Hours of Work:
This is a hourly position working a minimum of 24 hours a week.
Travel:There are no travel requirements for this position.
Work Authorization/Security Clearance:Must be authorized to work in the United States.
