The Gel Coat Machine Operator plays a critical role in the manufacturing process by operating and maintaining gel coat application machinery to ensure high-quality surface finishes on molded products. This position requires precision and attention to detail to apply gel coats evenly and consistently, which directly impacts the durability and aesthetic appeal of the final product. The operator will work closely with production teams to meet daily output targets while adhering to safety and quality standards.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience operating gel coat or similar manufacturing machinery.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to perform routine equipment maintenance.
• Ability to follow detailed instructions and safety protocols.

• Experience in a manufacturing environment within the composites or plastics industry.
• Familiarity with gel coat materials and application techniques.
• Basic understanding of production documentation and record-keeping.

• Set up, operate, and monitor gel coat application machines according to production specifications and safety guidelines.
• Inspect gel coat application for consistency, thickness, and quality, making adjustments as necessary to maintain standards.
• Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of gel coat machinery to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
• Collaborate with quality control and production teams to identify and resolve any issues affecting product quality or production flow.
