Overview

Target is recruiting for a Starbucks Barista. The role supports guest service, food and beverage operations, and upholds Starbucks and Target standards to deliver a safe, welcoming guest experience.

• Deliver an exceptional guest experience by providing quality handcrafted beverages and food while prioritizing the guest’s needs.
• Uphold and execute Food and Beverage Standards, Starbucks and Target brand standards, and food safety standards.
• Execute food and beverage processes, including deliveries, replenishment, stocking, zoning, in-stocks routines, data accuracy, culling, rotation, cleaning, signing and backstock activities.
• Maintain awareness of promotional activities within Starbucks and engage with guests to meet their expectations.
• Support Drive Up and digital order fulfillment, ensure accurate and timely service.
• Maintain an inviting dining area and greet guests authentically.
• Produce items to specifications and follow department routines; monitor and record temperature-sensitive items; complete cleaning tasks as outlined.
• Follow packaging, labeling, and food safety requirements; identify damaged, recalled or expired items; manage in-stocks and perishable inventory; execute sampling practices.
• Engage with guests to understand needs, solve issues, and leverage knowledge of store tools and services to enhance the guest experience.
• Complete required trainings related to quality control; maintain safety, ethics, and compliance; work safely and identify hazards.
• Support guest services such as back-up cashier, order pickup, and Drive-up while complying with federal, state, and local laws.
• All other duties based on business needs.

• Willingness to work busy shifts, including weekends; ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment.

• Previous Starbucks/food service experience preferred but not required.
• Welcoming, helpful attitude toward guests and team members.
• Ability to communicate across devices and operate technology equipment.
• Ability to work independently and in a team; resolve guest questions quickly; attention to detail and multi-step processes.
• Remain focused and composed in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks.

• Accurately handle cash register operations as needed.
• Physical ability to climb ladders and lift up to 44 pounds; occasional stairs and shelving work.
• Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays; reliable attendance.
• Ability to work in temperatures ranging from 34°F to
  -10°F as needed, and in spaces with allergens.
• Remain mobile for the duration of shifts with varying shift lengths.
