Diesel Fabricator
We are seeking a dedicated Diesel Fabricator for the 1st shift who will be responsible for mechanical and fabrication repairs to trucks and trailers within our fleet. This role involves heavy welding and fabrication, primarily focusing on trailers. Your tasks will include performing DOT inspections, documenting findings, and ensuring that repairs are completed efficiently to get units back on the road.
Responsibilities- Perform floor and wall repairs through welding and fabrication work.
- Conduct tire changes, and replace brakes, rotors, axles, filters, alternators, water pumps, turbos, and suspension systems.
- Troubleshoot electrical systems and replace lights.
- Follow DOT and OSHA guidelines in all repairs and maintenance.
- 3+ years of experience in truck or equipment maintenance, preferably related to DOT.
- Proficiency in performing heavy fabrication and repair through MIG welding on Steel (80%) and other materials (20%).
- Ability to read and interpret diagrams, schematics, and blueprints.
- Capacity to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to work in outdoor elements.
Skills & Qualifications
- Experience in performing DOT Inspections.
- ASE Certifications.
- TIG welding experience.
- Ownership of personal tools (1/2" & below).

You will be working in a metal recycling facility, which includes both indoor and outdoor environments, exposing you to the elements. The position averages 45 hours per week, with workdays running from Monday to Friday, starting between 8 am and 5/6 pm. Flexibility with start times is available.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $47840.00 - $58240.00/yr.
- Weekly pay with bonus structure on top of base pay -- last years average was 21.36%% on top of base - 4 factors going into this though: division, last months profitability, pounds shipped prior week, and safety
