Engine Technician

Blain's Farm & Fleet is seeking an Engine Technician to service and repair small engines and outdoor power equipment for our Midwest customers. In this on-site role, you'll diagnose issues, perform tune-ups and repairs, and ensure equipment is safe and ready for use. You'll use technical manuals and diagnostic tools, keep accurate records, and help customers understand repair options and maintenance needs.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair small engines, lawn and garden equipment, and outdoor power tools
• Perform routine maintenance including tune-ups, oil changes, and part replacements
• Use diagnostic tools, technical manuals, and manufacturer specifications to troubleshoot issues
• Document work performed, parts used, and maintain accurate service records
• Advise customers on repair options, maintenance schedules, and safe equipment use
• Order and manage parts and supplies to support repair operations
• Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area
• Collaborate with store team to support customer service and sales of related products
