Are you an accomplished Agriculture/Commercial lender looking to take full ownership of your portfolio, grow your relationships, and make a measurable impact? North Star Community Credit Union is seeking a results-driven professional to originate, manage, and supervise our commercial loan portfolio while shaping agricultural lending strategy in your region.

3–5 years of commercial or agricultural lending experience

Deep knowledge of North Dakota agricultural markets

Proven success with large-scale crop and livestock producers, agribusiness operations, and complex farm financing structures

Strong analytical skills and ability to structure creative, tailored lending solutions

Relationship-focused, results-driven, autonomous, and ready to lead

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent industry certification preferred

Originate, Manage, and Supervise Loans: Take ownership of North Star’s commercial loan portfolio, maintaining and improving asset quality while developing new and existing business relationships

Business Development: Grow your portfolio by cultivating high-value agricultural and commercial clients

Financial Analysis & Structuring: Review member financials, assess risk, and structure loans that maximize client success and portfolio performance

Portfolio Oversight & Compliance: Monitor assets, ensure regulatory compliance, and maintain accurate, up-to-date documentation

Member & Community Engagement: Provide strategic guidance to members and represent North Star in industry and local events to strengthen relationships and lending opportunities

Portfolio Ownership: Full autonomy to manage and grow your book of business

Impact & Influence: Directly support agricultural leaders and businesses while shaping lending strategy in your region
