Shift Production Supervisor

Job Description:

The Shift Production Supervisor is responsible for overseeing all production activities during their assigned shift, ensuring daily output targets are met while maintaining high standards of safety, quality, cleanliness, and team engagement. This hands‑on, leadership‑focused role requires strong operational awareness, people‑management skills, and a commitment to continuous improvement. The Supervisor reports directly to the Site Manager and works closely with the alternate supervisor to ensure seamless shift transitions.

Pay

Rate

$25 – $35 per hour (hourly pay rates are a good‑faith estimate).

Responsibilities
  • Supervise and support production staff during assigned shifts
  • Operate, understand, and troubleshoot production equipment and processes
  • Ensure daily production targets, quality standards, and efficiency goals are met
  • Enforce all safety procedures, chemical handling protocols, and PPE requirements
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and well‑maintained production environment
  • Ensure completion of daily cleaning, sanitation, and maintenance checklists
  • Monitor raw material inventory and maintain approximately one month of supply
  • Complete and sign off on batch reports, shift reports, KPIs, and inventory records
  • Accurately log production data in the MRP system (batch start, completion, packing)
  • Foster a positive, respectful, and emotionally intelligent workplace culture
  • Identify opportunities for efficiency, safety, and process improvements
Job Requirements
  • At least 18 years of age
  • Previous supervisory or leadership experience in a production or manufacturing environment
  • Strong safety awareness and ability to lead by example
  • Chemical safety certification (required)
  • Comfortable with computers and production software systems
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem‑solving skills
  • Ability to manage people with professionalism, empathy, and accountability
