Highlights of Your RoleThe Material Handler plays a crucial role in loading the trucks that ship our premium windows to customers. This position is responsible for ensuring trucks are shipped complete and on time, and continuously striving to improve productivity, effectiveness, quality, and safety. It is essential to be able to work both independently and as part of a team with varied strengths.
You're a Good Fit If You Have (or Can)- Load and/or unload trucks properly
- Ability to work with computers or the ICIM program and scanners
- Read and understand customer orders and shipping labels
- Check for quality accuracy based on the quality guidelines
- Use essential measuring equipment
- Use lift equipment and obtain required licensure
- Coordinate and transport inventory
- Work effectively with others
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment
- Dependable attendance
- May be required to work beyond scheduled hours to meet delivery schedule
- Self‑motivated and require minimal supervision
- Perform additional duties as assigned
- Stand and/or walk for 8‑10 hours a day
- Perform repetitive hand, wrist, and arm motions
- Work at an established production rate pace, pushing and/or pulling materials up to 150 pounds
- Lift up to 75 pounds, move product on the floor of trailers ranging 50–400 pounds; team lift may be required for heavier lifting
- Bend, stoop, reach, twist, and turn
