Job PurposeThe Dairy Clerk at Hugo's Family Marketplace plays a crucial role in ensuring the dairy section is well-maintained, organized, and stocked with fresh products. This position is responsible for providing excellent customer service, maintaining food safety standards, and supporting overall store operations.
Key Responsibilities- Stock and rotate dairy products, ensuring that expiration dates are checked and outdated or damaged items are removed.
- Maintain proper temperatures and cleanliness in coolers and display cases to ensure product quality and safety.
- Assist customers with inquiries and provide excellent service to enhance their shopping experience.
- Receive and organize deliveries, ensuring that inventory is accurately accounted for and stored appropriately.
- Ensure that shelves and displays are clean, organized, and well-stocked to create an appealing shopping environment.
- Adhere to food safety, sanitation, and handling guidelines to maintain a safe and compliant work area.

- High school diploma or GED
- Some coursework in food safety, nutrition, or retail (optional)
- On-the-job training is standard
- No prior dairy or retail experience required
- Willingness to learn stock rotation, cooler maintenance, and customer service
- 1-2 years of experience in retail, grocery, or food service
- Familiarity with dairy products, storage, and temperature control
