We are hiring substitute teachers and substitute para educators for Grafton School District. No previous experience is required! Remember that educator who made a difference in your life? Minimum requirements:

• Substitute Teacher – Associate's degree in any field AND WI Substitute License or Valid WI Teaching License
• Substitute Para educator - HS Diploma/GED
• Substitute Special Education Para educator – WI Special Education Aide License, valid WI Substitute License OR a teaching certificate

Pay rates:

• Substitute Teacher: $135/day
• Substitute Teacher – district retiree: $145/day
• Substitute Para educator: $15.50-$16.50/hour

Teacher Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with lead teachers to implement lesson plans and provide additional support to students with diverse learning needs.
• Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment where every student feels valued and supported.
• Assist students in understanding and completing assignments, reinforcing classroom instruction while promoting social and emotional development by encouraging positive peer interactions.
• Assume duties of the district employee in accordance with school district lesson plans, school rules, and Kelly policies
• Empower students to learn, and encourage classroom participation
• For long-term teacher assignments, it may be required to develop lesson plans, as well as build, administer, and grade tests and assignments

Para educator Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with lead teachers to implement lesson plans and provide additional support to students with diverse learning needs.
• Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment where every student feels valued and supported.
• Assist students in understanding and completing assignments, reinforcing classroom instruction while promoting social and emotional development by encouraging positive peer interactions.

Substitute teachers may also be referred to as substitute educator, guest teacher, or relief teacher.

Substitute para educators may also be referred to as paraprofessionals, education technicians, teacher's aide, instructional assistant, classroom assistant or education assistant.
