Summary:
Responsible for performing all of the maintenance activities necessary to install, repair, and maintain production equipment, systems, and services.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Install and maintain all production machines and equipment, including mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic systems, troubleshooting, and repairs.
- Perform regular, predictive, and preventive maintenance on machines and equipment, following operations manuals, manufacturer instructions, and company procedures; communicate and schedule maintenance activities effectively to maximize production.
- Conduct emergency/unscheduled repairs on production equipment; troubleshoot issues; replace/repair parts; respond quickly to minimize downtime.
- Maintain an efficient Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to document all maintenance activities accurately and timely.
- Utilize a variety of hand and power tools and material handling equipment.
- Assist with plant layout and space optimization.
- Perform other building and custodial maintenance tasks as needed, including cleaning, plumbing, floor polishing, snow removal, shoveling, and groundskeeping.
- Support safety objectives by ensuring compliance with regulations, providing technical support for safety initiatives, maintaining equipment safety, and assisting with safety training.
- Promote a positive work environment through effective communication, coaching, teamwork, and leadership.
- Contribute to continuous improvement efforts by recommending or making equipment and process modifications to enhance quality and efficiency.
- Complete production and quality documentation accurately.
- Maintain professional relationships and communicate effectively with employees, managers, vendors, customers, and regulatory agencies.
- Understand, comply with, and support company policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
- Maintain regular attendance.
- Perform other production-related tasks as necessary.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required; 5 years of related maintenance experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, metal fabrication, PLC, electrical systems, plumbing, machine tools, power distribution, and hand tools preferred.
Work Hours:
- 1st shift:
Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, with optional overtime before or after shift. - 2nd shift:
Monday through Thursday, 4 ten-hour days from 3:30 PM to 2:00 AM, with optional overtime on Fridays. - Part-time options are available.
