Trio Success Coach

The TRiO Success Coach serves as a dedicated student success professional within the federally funded TRiO Student Support Services (SSS) program. The primary focus of the position is to promote persistence, academic achievement, graduation, and transfer for students who are first-generation college students, income-eligible, and/or students with disabilities.

A key component of this role is proactive outreach to an assigned caseload of students to provide timely, consistent, and meaningful engagement. The Success Coach ensures students are connected to appropriate academic support, financial aid guidance, career exploration resources, and both on-campus and community-based services that support their overall well-being and success.

The Success Coach develops meaningful relationships with participants and provides individualized support that fosters personal growth, academic success, career exploration, financial literacy, and transfer readiness. Working collaboratively with faculty, staff, and campus partners, the Success Coach helps students navigate institutional systems, access resources, and build a strong sense of belonging. The Success Coach also supports students experiencing academic challenges by helping them reflect on barriers, develop Academic Improvement Plans, and successfully navigate the Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) appeal process.
