Job Description
River Mill Academy, a public charter school located in Graham, North Carolina is hiring a fourth grade teacher for the school year. RMA participates in the state health and retirement system while offering free dental coverage. Teachers are paid on the state salary scale with a local 17% supplement, while honoring master's pay.
Class sizes are capped at 24 students and classrooms in grades K-3 employ a full-time teacher assistant. Grades 4 and 5 share teacher assistants. RMA was founded as one of the original public schools in the state (1998) and has a strong academic history with minimal behavior disruptions. Our elementary classrooms are self contained and "loop", meaning they stay with the same cohort of students for two consecutive school years.
